I believe in giving to charitable causes, but I also believe that helping others improve their own lives is just as important as simply handing over some cash and wishing a guy good luck.

Financial independence can be a bit intoxicating in that it not only frees up possibilities it can actually allow you to use money as a means of helping others resist the effects of an economic downturn.

Too many people I visit with have spent too much money and too much time following trails that promised a great view and ended up going nowhere. Participants in these pipedreams often have less money in their pocket and no idea where to go next.
