Moneymaking as a Virtual Assistant

There is a business-to-business moneymaking idea that is growing. However I don’t believe the idea is at a saturation point by any means. The idea is that of a virtual assistant.

Think of this as a freelancer on steroids. What I mean by that is a virtual assistant can essentially take care of multiple office tasks from their home or office. It’s really a mixture of telecommuting and freelancing.

Here’s just one scenario. A real estate business is growing, but doesn’t quite have the resources to hire an office manager. The agents have to take care of most tasks related to follow-up and paperwork. What this generally means to the agent is they have fewer opportunities to actually sell properties because they are spending so much time on administrative details. It would seem that most sales personnel do not like paperwork.

This is where the role of virtual assistant comes into play. A virtual assistant can be hired on an as needed basis. This can save the business owner significant time and money if, for instance, they need someone to make phone calls to provide effective follow-up or if they need someone to develop and send marketing postcards or emails. A virtual assistant can work to manage contract form development and can fill out forms and send them to clients for approval.

If you are considering the development of a business as a virtual assistant you should either have extensive training and knowledge of the industry you will be serving or be willing to research and learn the needed skills.

In many cases this industry will serve multiple clients and some report being busy enough they have had to hire additional staff members to manage the incoming workload.

Consider this business opportunity from the standpoint of those you would be serving. If these individuals are bogged down with office work they can’t be as effective in selling. If they aren’t effective in selling they will not be in business long. They may not have the funds to hire someone full time and many available part time candidates may not be qualified. These businesses would also be free from the burden of providing benefits, vacation and sick leave because your service is offered as needed.

If these businesses knew they could call on you whenever they needed help it would relieve their stress levels and it would improve their overall performance. It would also improve your personal financial situation.

To supplement areas you may be weak in you could subcontract certain freelance work. For instance if you are not especially gifted at writing press releases, but these would be required by clients you may want to seek out an individual or individuals who can provide these to you for your clients. You are simply the agent that pulls everything together for your clients.

The idea is to be as full service as possible and network with others who can help you achieve your goal of providing virtually every conceivable need for your clients.

Many individuals who want to work from home and have skills in office management might consider the benefits of becoming a virtual assistant.

This is one moneymaking idea that has tremendous benefits for the virtual assistant as well as the businesses they serve.
