Moneymaking Ideas and the Problem Solver

The roll of any moneymaking idea is to provide an answer to a problem. The problem may be one you recognize in others leaving you with a desire to provide an answer to that problem. It could also be a problem that you have personally and the moneymaking idea could be the answer to your financial concerns.

In the first case you are motivated to identify something that others need and then work to find a solution that meets that need while providing a financial gain for yourself. This is a great motivation and can provide incredible satisfaction in knowing you are helping others.

In the second case you are motivated to meet your personal financial needs. The motivation is self-focused instead of consumer focused. This still isn’t a bad motivation you will simply need to recognize that while your motive may be personal your execution of your business will still need to focus on the needs of your customers.

Most people look at problems as negatives. In so many ways problems just require an alteration in perspective. When you work to find a solution to the ‘problem’ you may likely find further opportunity.

Facing problems can be hard simply because they exist in a place called ‘the unknown’. Most of us have a fear of that which we can’t readily identify. This is the place where opportunity lives. This is the place where only the brave dare to tread. This is the place where entrepreneurs are born. This is the place where solutions equal wealth.

If you’ve ever watched the show “Dirty Jobs” then you know there are multiple brave souls who have found that there are jobs that no one wants, but these jobs must be performed. From cleaning barnacles off of buoys to herding molting geese these individuals perform a needed service and – make money.

If necessity is the mother of invention then problems are the father of lucrative ideas. When you discover a problem that doesn’t seem to have a ready solution jump in and solve it. This is the same spirit explorers and pioneers had to have in order to tackle issues that they never were prepared for.

Here’s the upside, there are already millions of people content to allow someone else to answer their problems and they are willing to pay them to do so. Chances are pretty good that you would have an easy to reach customer base if you can just find the answer to the problems people face.

Consider people who believe they have found the answer to the problem of weight gain. Even if these individuals are incorrect there are thousands of people willing to pay for the information they believe will magically provide the elusive answer to their desire to lose weight.

While I hope your idea is better than that one the principle idea remains. You may be the answer to someone’s problem. Whether your motivation is to serve or to obtain greater personal wealth the roll of your potential moneymaking idea may ultimately solve more than one problem.
